Hi every time I get a bill from BT it says your (xxxx) account number has a bill which needs to be paid, but when I logon to the system, all my accounts are shown under the names I have given them (Angela's broadband etc). So I have to go through all the accounts manually to find the account which matches the number. What a load of rubbish. It is OK to make a mistake like this in the early internet days but in 2011 you expect doing things online to be easy, particularly from a company which specialises in internet services.
The BT technical team should be able to fix it. Have you already contacted them about this?
