Hi Mr BT!!

                   You recently robbed us all of our free web space!! My internet service is slow and unreliable, so I'm a bit un-easy about signing up for web hosing, and paying for it too!!

From what I see on this forum, many questions go unanswered! I don't need any of your fancy tools just the space. I suppose having MyNane.co.uk would be good. I am in a Virgin area so wonder if BT will bring Infinity here, unless they share the cables, I can't see it happening.

Going off at an angle new custerers are also getting YouView for free, for being with BT for years I have to pay £50 what kind of service is that!!! so pass that one on to who ever...   Perhaps I should just go with Virgin for 18 months, then come back and see whats on offer.

Everbody who needs help gets an answer lol!   

If you are looking for free web hosting try X10Hosting.com* or 000Webhost.com  these provide up to 1Gig of web space with SQL database  included. Both support WordPress with one-click install and the only things you cannot do are run chat rooms or games servers because these require a lot of processing power and if badly written play havoc with the database server. (NB family friendly hosting rules apply to content: NO porn, drugs, racism or other violence ) Good, friendly & active tech support forums for any genuine problems are also available at these hosts.

Downside: admin of these free services have no sense of humour and zero tolerance towards anybody breaking the terms of service so be sure to take regular backups Your-Self! as they can & do delete accounts without warning.

(begging for them to restore the account or give you a backup copy is a waste of time)

*X10Hosting will allow you to use a domain name you have paid for on a free account

Free hosting of a sort can also be achieved usiing the Google App Engine but that's a bit complex for most alternatively there is a free tier option on the Amazon Cloud service that would allow you to run your own web server using their hardware.

            Thanks for that! X10hosting works fine for me!!! !Gb of space better then BT 50Mb. So I don't know if I need BT anymore, poor speed, etc.

So do I go for Virgen....
