Call Divert to Holland

I am unable to set up call divert to a number in Holland. I have spoken to BT services who said that diversion to Holland is not allowed ( but France and Germany are OK!!!!). Their website says that call divert is not available to lines in Columbia, Lebanon, West Indies, Bangladesh, India etc but does not mention any EU countries. I cannot see any logical reason as to why Holland would not be allowed. Can anyone help me please ?

I'm staggered!! I've installed three lines and want to divert when busy to our Dutch office. However, found out yesterday that this is not possible.

BT say their system is okay and that its the Dutch networks that do not allow this service. Some conflicting information here as the Dutch blame BT. I call my local HSBC and am transferred to India. I call MBNA and speak to someone in Canada!

Why can't I transfer a UK number operated by BT - The largest UK provider - to our Dutch office when our lines are busy here??!! I'm staggered!!

Just spoke with Russell in Business Sales and he says you can not call forward or divert to any overseas countires.

"It's impossible" he says. The BT website clearly states that calls can be diverted to "any UK number and most overseas destinations.....excluding Bangladesh, Columbia, India, Kuwait, Lebanon, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka and the West Indies"

So what's the story BT?

Is the website correct or Russell in Business Sales??

Either way I'm increasingly frustrated by having to call 150 and 154 and go through the automated call process to get to speak to someone. And, every time it's another contradiction!!

Hi all,

I have been in contact with the team that deal with the call diversion, and in the terms and conditions Section 2 part 4.4 it states,

Call Diversion

Call Diversion is only available to the following international destinations: Australia (including Christmas & Cocos Islands), Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Malaysia, Norway, Poland, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, United States (excluding Hawaii). The diverted part of the call is charged to the renter of the service at the appropriate dialled call rates; calling customers pay the call charge only to the number dialled.

International call divertion can only be setup to these countries I am afraid.
