I have caller ID on my BT business lines. It works fine with a BT "Caller Reminder Display".
It is not working with my PBX.
The supplier is saying that if I have an "option on the Line called 'Feature Line' which allow Caller ID to work on the BT branded phones but it's incompatible with other equipment"
Does this make any sense to anyone?
Bill
Hi bilko2,
if you have a look at this article about caller ID
It states that not all phones with an LCD display are compatible with caller ID, and to check the with the user guide or manufacturer of the phone, to check it is compatible.
I hope this helps

The device in question is a VOIP to a analogue gateway (Grandstream GXW-4104). It is supposed to be able to read UK caller ID. It does not have a display, it passes the caller ID as part of the SIP protocol.

Having googled BT 'Feature Line' I take it that I would notice if I did have 'Feature Line' installed because I would have to dial a 9 to call an outside number.
Hi bilko2,
To check to see if you do have a feature line, plug a standard phone in to the main socket for the line and see if you can make a call without having to press 9 first to give you and outside line.
To get more support you can contact the telephony team to get them to investigate it.
