Can't access FTP

I have a website basically set up on freespace but decided I wanted a domain name, so upgraded to the Basic Hosting package and registered marchmontassociation.org.uk (primary) and also marchmontassociation.co.uk (to redirect to the first.

I use FileZilla at work, so I am trying to use it for this site too. But when I try to log in it tells me:

Status: Resolving address of ftp.marchmontassociation.org.uk

Status: Connecting to 209.235.144.9:21...

Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message...

Response: 220 Website FTP Server Ready

Command: USER marchmontassociation.org.uk

Response: 331 Password required for marchmontassociation.org.uk.

Command: PASS ********

Response: 530 Login incorrect.

Error: Critical error

Error: Could not connect to server

Can anybody tell me why this might be happening??

I am having another problem which may or may not be related:

When logged into my account I go to Manage Services > Web Hosting > Manage FTP password and click on Manage marchmontassociation.org.uk, and it comes up with the message "You are now logged out of BT Website Centre, pleas close this window."

To me this looks like a problem with the BT website, but I wonder if I need to change a setting in there to get the FTP working properly...

BT are having problems with the FTP passwords at the moment. When you attempt to set the password, it is actually being set to something else in the hosting system. They are looking into it at the moment.

Once they have fixed it, set the FTP password again.

Not sure really. When you change the FTP password and it works!

It is affecting all customers apparently so hopefully they should fix it soon.
