I started using the BT website wizard but found it wasn't going to do everything I wanted, I played with the site and published it with no problems.
I have now purchased Serif Webplus X2 which seems pretty good and I can build our diving club with no problem.
I am using IE8. I have started to build the site and tried to publish the site using the FTP login details. despite there being no errors reported, my new web pages have not replaced the ones created in the BT web centre.
Can anyone help please.

Hi abbey,
In order to replace your current website pages with the new ones, please change the name of your main page to the index.html or index.htm. Also you can create an .htaccess file with the "DirectoryIndex your_main_page_name.extension" in it and upload it to the public directory.
Your FTP login settings:
Host/Server Name: your domain name
Username: your domain name
Password: your Website OS password
Port: 21
Hope this helps
