Hi Guys, whats the best way to deal with DDos attack, my internal network is not affected, but i host a couple of websites, and an SBS server, none of which can serve properly due to the ddos attack.
any advice would be gratefully received.
my router doesn't give me enough information about which ip address is being attacked(i have 13 Static ip address package) due to the nature of BT Static ip addresses being sent to a dynamic ip address( yes i rebooted the router, and also left it off for about 4-5 hours yesterday in the hopes of changing the dynamic ip address, but to no avail)
did a pathping on both business broadband and home broadband as seen in the image below. the bt busnesshub is on home broadband at the moment
Hi RichCreedy
We have seen some issues with Zyxel routers which present as a DDOS attack, changing the remote management port from 80 to 81 or 82 solves this.
You can speak to Zyxel for help or you can speak with our chargeable third party router support on 0800500247
Hope this helps

i don't use a zyxel router, i use a netgear dual wan router, but have just replaced both modems with a couple of draytek vigor 120's
