Discover DHCP address via ping to alias?

Hi,

I've discovered that my router hasn't updated my DYNDNS alias with today's DHCP address, and therefore no VPN 😞 ... is there a way I can determine what address been assigned remotely? for example does BT maintain a DNS alias (for example:  <networkaccount>.btclick.com) that I can ping to get the address?

Thanks,

Doug.

Unfortunately, no.

However you should be able to see it on the router GUI or by typing "What is my IP address" into Google.

Sorry, need to learn to read, you did say remotely. The only way to achieve this would be by connecting *out* from behind the VPN router - perhaps install a dynamic update client on the VPN machine?
