Domain name and eshop

I have the same problem as Ian posted in a previous thread. Currently my domain is in the format of http://eshop.mydomain.co.uk so how do I change it so that it reads http://www.mydomain.co.uk/eshop ?

Hi Jim,

I had to contact BT to make this change. They can reconfigure the address from their end.

I found the best way to get hold of them is via the Email Us link in the "Website Centre". My query was then passed to someone who knew how to answer my question. Got a response same day and had to confirm security question with them before they can make the change.

Hope this helps.

Hi Ian - Thanks for the reply. I have contacted them but not had any joy yet

Took me an absolute age to get this sorted by BT but make sure that you get this done before you optimize and do your link building, nothing worse than a broken linkSmiley Surprised

Also, once you have got the change done, check that the correct URLs are used for any other links or feeds eg Googlebase and , if I remember correctly (many sleeps since I did it) your site submissions to Google and Bing etc

Ref: BT doing the change to URL - I had a full tour of the BT call centres to get the change.  Didn't think it would happen and slagged off BT on forum, it magically changed overnight no notification or futher response from BTSmiley Wink

Thanks for that - I have to confess im starting to wish I had never purchased the eshop and came to BT. I have one query being investigated by the eshop team and another with BT - both fairly simple issues to fix I would think, especially as many people have had the same problem.
