I've been trying to add new A records to a customers domain for the last couple of days and every time a change is made it's not saved. I have several customers using BT domains and the result is the same when i try adding entries to their domains which makes me believe there is a problem somewhere but trying to find a contact number to get things moving is proving to be the usual challenge.
Can someone point me in the direction of a support number please as this is now getting quite frustrating.

It sounds llike you are using IE7 or above or Chrome to change the records via the BT portal. These browses are not compatable with BT's Domain Centre. The only browser that is compatable is Firefox.
If you are still having issues you can email the DNS team via dnsforms.co.uk and they will change your records for you.
