Downstream sync/download speed woes

Hi folks wondering if someone knowledable can shed some light on this. Our business broadband ADSL2+ line had been fine up until last Wednesday (20th) lunchtime when our connection started dropping out intermittently. I called in and business support asked me to connect to the router to the test socket. They then initiated a profile reset and said it could take up to 24 hours for the line to settle.

Low and behold the connection settled down overnight but following day I noticed the line downstream was syncing at 5mbps below what it has been syncing at consistently for the last 3 years and download speeds were reduced accordingly.

I've called in several times over the last 2 days. On Monday I wasn't able to get far because support said BT test systems had been down but I spoke to a few people who suggested the reduced speed which the line was syncing at was within range. I then spoke to a helpful team coach yesterday afternoon who did a reset at exchange level to avoid a 10 day SNR reset or going through another profile reset but the line is now syncing at lower speeds than before. Here's a screengrab from our routers web control panel

Here is a BT wholesale speedtest done a few minutes ago

Below are a history of a few speedtest.net results over the past few months, before the issue with the line dropping out last Wednesday

Below are a few speedtests after the profile reset was done last Wednesday

Here is another speedtest not long ago (albeit much slower on the download than the bt wholesale test above done a few minutes before).

Also here's another phenomenon which I can't explain. The unit next to me are also signed up with BT and have a perfectly fine connection. I've checked their number and our number with the BT wholesale ADSL availability checker and it gives 2 different sets of downstream rates. Here it is with my phone number:

Here with the neighbours phone number:

I'm pulling my hair out over this whole issue as it's having a knock on affect on my work which is now taking ever longer with reduced download speed. Can anyone shed any light on what would explain 5mbps being shaved off downstream? BT tell me if they escalate to Openreach, it will be passed back to them because my download is perfectly within range (ARGH!)

Thanks
