Can anyone please advise how I can get my btconnect.com e-mail on my HTC Touch HD.
I also have a Hotmail account and set this up no problem at all.
I have gone through the same process for the btconnect account, but keep getting stuck at a page that asks for my e-mail address and password, but when I enter them I'm continually returned to the same page.
The ony time the e-mail seems to appear is after Synching with Windows Mobile Device Centre, but this appears to be rather random, but is no use when I'm away from the office.
Any assistance greatly appreciated.
Hi there,
Does HTC require an IMAP server? not sure if it has a pop3 option. What's the server name your hotmail uses?
Thanks

What's the server name your hotmail uses? Don't know, it uses Outlook connector now, so I don't seem to be able to find the e-mail settings in Tools - Account Settings any more.
Sorry not much help.
Hi there,
try this:
1. Go to Start > Messaging > Menu > Tools > “New Account…”
2. Enter your email address (e.g. user@btconnect.com and press “Next”
3. Once Auto configuration has completed, press “Next”
4. Enter your display Name, User Name, and Password; press “Next”
5. Select POP3 and name your email account; press “Next”
6. Enter your Incoming (POP3.btconnect.com) and Outgoing (SMTP.btconnect.com) mail servers and Domain name; press “Options”
7. Select the time intervals for downloading new messages; press “Next”
8. Select message download options and set the authentication method for outgoing mail; press “Next”
9. Select partial or full message downloading; press “Finish”
Finally go to outgoing server settings and untick the 'login required' box.
Thanks
Hi. Quick question. Do we need to manually set the ports? Or leave it auto configured?
