Easy Wizard links to email address and other websites

Beattie
Member

On my web site - artiesart.org.uk - I have put in links to other web sites - 2 work OK and 1 doesn't. To confirm, should I type the URL at http:// or www. ?

Also on the 'contact me' page it links to an Outlook Express email. However on the other pages where I've typed the email address nothing happens. Can I put a hyperlink to the email address on any page? If so, how do I do it.

Thanks,

Beattie.

Hello Beattie,

Links to other sites should always begin http:// the www. bit is optional provided the other site has been setup properly. Most are OK without it but you do get the odd one that plays up.

Mail links differ slightly from those used to naviagate around your site or link  away to others and look like this

mailto:artiesart@btconnect.com

By the way... I'm working on my web design portfolio would you mind if I used your content for the template & demo site? When it's done you get a copy that can be uploaded by FTP to your BT hosting if you like it..

Best regards

Jon

it should work either way. When you type www, the browser this http://www.xxx by default.
