Yes it should just follow the instructions below

in the server tab

change the incoming and outgoing server

then apply authentication to the outgoing server

then go to the advanced tab

then enable ssl for both servers and change the port numbers

here are a full list of the settings

**************************************************

Incoming server

Server - pop.outlook.com

port – 995

connection type – ssl

ensure that this is authorised with the full email address and password including the domain i.e.@btconnect.com

outgoing

Server - smtp.outlook.com

port – 587

connection type – tls

make sure the outgoing server requires authentication and authenticate with the same details as the incoming server

Hi I have just looked this up for you

go to
tools > accounts > add new >"let me configure settings myself"

enter the following

name - yourname

email address - your full email address i.e.. youremail@youremail.com

click next

then enter the following

My incoming mail server type is POP3/POP

incoming mail server - pop.outlook.com

outgoing mail server - smtp.outlook.com

next

username - full email address i.e.. youremail@youremail.com

password - yourpassword

then click finish

now under tools > accounts

click on the email account you have just set up

under the servers tab click on my server requires authentication then make sure that this is using the same details as the incoming server

then go to the advanced tab

click on this server requires a secure connection for both the incoming and outgoing mail server

set the port numbers as follows

in - 995

out - 587

click OK

that should now work
