Email bounces

Hi,

 

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, so please redirect me if there is somewhere more appropriate.

 

We run a website for a copany who have just started seeing invoice emails they send out to @btinternet.com email accounts bounce since this Saturday.

 

We see for example:

mx.bt.lon5.cpcloud.co.uk #<mx.bt.lon5.cpcloud.co.uk #5.0.0 smtp; 554 Message rejected for policy reasons (3.2.1.1)> #SMTP#

 

I have checked for the server IP being listed on any databases - its not, and we have changed nothing related to emails recently.

Hi timpickup,

 

the error message/bounce back you are getting is from the spam filter on the @btinternet.com servers.  You need to contact the home/residential support team to get the domain removed from their block.

This is who BT are using for email filtering and they are terrible.

 

Continually blocking valid emails, and although they are quick to remove blacklist status (under 24 hours) they do not reply to any emails etc so we have been unable to get whitelisted, and so continually have to request to be un-blacklisted...

 

I assume they are the cheap option...
