I have recently bought an iPad and wish to use my btconnect.com email address on it. I have added the account and it sends and receives fine.
The problem is that all my sent emails from my PC, using windows live mail, are not showing up on the ipad or outlook web app. The iPad also thinks that my whole inbox is unread, giving me a large count on the Mail icon. Because office 365 is not an exchange account, there are fewer controls to limit the number of emails I keep on the iPad.
Is there a way to sync the read and the sent emails?
I think I have an answer for you - but it may not be one you welcome..
For some of us using email addresses that end in @btconnect.com, our only access to the Office 365 product is via a license called "Email Lite". This uses POP3 protocols, instead of the "IMAP" protocols used in MS-Exchange.
In my case, this was because I ceased using BT-Broadband, but kept my btconnect email address by downgrading to a Pay-As-You-Go option.
The "Email Lite" option only seems to offer "POP3" access, which will not allow for MS-Exchange services like synchronising folders, emails and contacts across multiple devices.
I would very happily upgrade (and pay) to a fully featured exchange version of my freeby, but I cannot see how / whether my @btconnect.com address will migrate.
Hi Tim-Lad
BT do offer 2 paid for versions of Office 365 but not for @btconnect.com email addresses, it is only available for domain addresses.
