Hi
I am trying to set up my small business an email server (Exchange 2013) the domain is not hosted by BT and uses MX settings. My current hosting supplier has set up all the DNS and MX records and everything looks correct. I have BT Infinity unlimited and have opted for static IP addresses. so I have my mail.domainname.com relaying to my fixed IP Address which in turn is conected to my servers NIC. (Hope that makes sence)
The issue is I can send emails from this domain but I am not receiving anything at all? Is there anything I need to configure on the HUB 3 supplied by BT to allow this through the router? When you try and connect mobile devices to IP / mail server it reports the IP address is not reponding in a timely fashion?
Regards
Graham
You'll need to set up port forwarding on the Business Hub 3 so that it passes Exchange email traffic to your Exchange server (ports 25, 443). You'll also need to set up a Receive Connector in Exchange in order for it to accept emails for your external domain.
Then as long as you've got your MX Record and A-Record set up you should be good to go.
