Fibre Superfast Broadband

Hi

Not sure if this will fall on deaf ears but it worth a try !

I'm a business in Rugby Warwickshire , based on an industrial estate and desperately in need of superfast broadband - Infinity.

At the moment we best we can get on ADSL  is 4MB and its a poor service at that , our local exchange ( RUGBY) is fibre enabled ( goods news) but the cabinet on our estate isn't.

I , like most of the businesses would sign up tomorrow if it was available , and I have spoken to my neighbours and we would even be willing to contribute to the cost of getting fibre to the cabinet providing its reflected in the montly pricing in some way , however despite numerous telephone calls and endless emails all I is get a brick wall. Is there anyone at BT that would be willing to come and talk to me ?

Post code is CV22 7DH

look forward to hearing from someone.....

John

Why not get a leased fibre circuit ...

You could then lease out connectivity to your neighbours too.

Been quoted £940/month with a 5 year contract for a 10mbit leased line by BT , seem fair to you ????

Hi John,

Well since that's for a managed one to one contention connection to the internet that is probably fully FttP then that's not actually too bad.

In other words, fibre isn't cheap.

As far as your original query goes, MHC makes a valid point, as there are a number of instances of places getting a backbone connection in and divvying it up between their neighbours.

There have also been a number of communities who have contacted BT Wholesale and arranged for fibre, with them putting up a part of the cost.

Best thing I can suggest is that you contact them through their website:

http://www.btwholesale.com

They may be able to help you.

Dave

Thanks for the reply , understand that i would have to contact BTWholesale , rather than be a random enquiry from a website , could you give me a name or contact details of someone specific that may be able to assist me ?

Many Thanks

John

Hi,

Afraid not.  We tend to gather contacts as we go, and unfortunately I've never had any related to that.
