Flushing BT HGV200 DNS Cache

It's not a big issue, but how do you flush or reset the router's DNS cache?

My router shows (via Settings/Broadband/DNS Resolution) several names with the same IP address, which has been picked up from the DHCP server, at different times.

flushdns from Windows, just flushes the Windows cache. There is no Telnet access on the router, so there doesn't seem to be a way to tell it to flush its cache.

Thanks

Hi

Sorry for the delay in responding to the post. I spoke to the technical team who said that the only was to clear the DNS cache is to clear the device list in the router:

In the router go to Settings -> Diagnostics -> reset them by clicking on the clear device list.

If this does not work you would need to factory reset the router.

I hope this helps,

Kind Regards

Fiona
