Hi everyone,
In Internet Explorer 11 I briefly get text saying "Get to Google faster. Update your search engine. SureNo thanks." on the "Google Web" search page. It is not the active blue bar with options. It is in place of the blue bar, does not show on other Google default pages like Google News, Google Images etc. It happens every time I do a Web search but is too quick to take a screen shot.
I have tried logging out of my Google account then back in and selecting "No thanks" on the blue bar when logging in and the "x" button. Neither get rid of the text above the Google icon on the top left. Removing cookies, history also don't work. "Reset" in IE11 Advanced Options does not solve the issue.
I have no viruses, malware etc. I use Microsoft Essentials which is up to date.
I have W7 Home Premium 64 bit. Windows Updates are up to date. Same result with my partner's laptop using her Google account and with W7 Professional 64 bit.
Microsoft believe it is a BT Domain Name Server (DNS) issue that needs to be fixed at BT's end rather than a Google coding issue.
Suggestions most welcome.
Cheers
