I have been trying to access some of my websites, which are hosted on heartinternet, for almost 12 hours, as I need to work on them urgently.
I am not able to access them via the BT network, which we ues at home and in the office, but the site comes up fine on my blackberry.
Heartinternet have added the following explanation to their status page
"Tue, 10 Apr 2012 22:58:33 +0100
Some customers where their ISP is routed through the BT network may not be able to connect to our data centre, this is a fault outside of our network within the BT network and their routers. If we can find any more information about this we will update here, otherwise please contact your ISP for assistance."
Could someone please explain the nature of this fault to me and how long it is likely to take to fix? i ugently need to work on these websites.
Really appreciate any insight you can offer 🙂
This could be possibly resolved by just a simple reroute.
I would run a traceroute from BT network to your website to see where the last hop is. Please run this and paste it here.
