I'm a Business Email Lite user (awaiting upgrade to Office365) but having major problems.

Email works with outlook but keeps coming up with incorrect user name and password error message when verifying on iphone. Was working ok until I changed the password (and yes, I've check it's ok logging via webmail) as requested by BT and never got it working again on iphone.

What I've done: connecting via wifi

1. Add account

2. Other

3. Add mail account

4. Name: XXX

5: Email: name@mydomain.co.uk

6: Password: XXX

7. Description: Default

Then

8. Pressed the PoP button so it goes blue

9. Incoming Mail Server Host Name: pop3.btconnect.com

10. Incoming Mail Server User Name: namemydomain

11. Incoming Mail Server Password: left as carried through

12. Outgoing Mail Server Host Name: mail.btconnect.com

13. Outgoing Mail Server User Name: left blank

14. Outgoing Mail Server Password: left blank

15. Pressed Save

16. Pressed Yes on message setting up account without SSL

Then get message - cannot get mail: the user name or password for "pop3.btconnect.com" is incorrect". Also checked ougoing server port = 25. Having tried this over and over again....it's now a big HELP!!!

This thread helped me before with this problem:

With regards to your statement, the difference would be that you may try not to connect with SSL. And your username should be with @btconnect.com.

I hope this works.

Thanks suntatood - but no joy!

Tried variations mentioned. Then also set up secondary outgoing mail server with user name and password entered, using server port=80. No luck.

Hi,

In this instance I would advise putting the details in an email to support@btbroadbandoffice.com, as we'll have to check the actual settings you are using to make sure they're correct.
