Help needed with photos and free website

RainbowLady

Hello everyone I hope someone can help me as BT certainly have not.

I have just got my domain name and am in the process of setting up the free website.

I can load one picture to the page but when I try to add another it just adds the first one again and deletes the previous one.

I want to be able to post my pictures on a daily basis showing them all and not deleting the fist one if that makes sense.

I also can't seem to be able to post anything in the right hand purple column.

my site is www.rainbowlady.co.uk

I struggled to get this as my link and finally bt changed it to read correctly but the top line still shows the btconnect addy.

Can I change this as well?

Sorry to be a pain but thought you all seemed so helpful on here - there are no instructions anywhere.

Thanks

Cynthia x

Hey Cynthia,

Regarding your domain name it looks like it is "URL Forwarded" to your free BT webspace, I might be wrong but I think that is the only way it can be done with the free package.

How are you building the site? is it using the sitewizard?

Your website is put together using "frames" which is why if you are editing the "index.html" page you can't edit in the "purple area" as this is another file called "http://home.btconnect.com/rainbowlady/bg.html" - if you have FTP access you should be able to edit this file, though some HTML knowledge would be needed.

Hope this helps somewhat, maybe someone from BT or someone with Free Webspace could help further??

hi

as Orchie stated, it might be the forwarded to. Also, what program are you using to create your website?

Hi Guys thanks for your replies.

They have now changed my site so that the correct address reads everywhere so that is one step done.

I am creating the site using the free wizard provided by BT but there are no instructions anywhere.

I can add one picture but when I try to add another it replaces the first one so I end up still with only one. .

Also I can't post in the right hand side purple zone for some reason.

Thanks for your help

I used Tumblr. But I'm happily using Domainki presently. They are reliable and stable. Try it.
