Many months of trying to order FTTC for a Hotel in Chiswick without success, now yesterday I spoke with a BT Openreach engineer installing a new FTTC line to premises next to the Hotel. After lifting up some manholes we tracked the Hotel PSTN lines direct to Cab 15 in Goldhawk Road.
He pointed to 20 FTTC circuits UNUSED and was wondering why I could not order. Said BT was pushing to get as many FTTC customers as possible.
DP3516 if anyone wants to go down there now and check it out.
Big issue is when extrapolted across London how many unused FTTC circuits are being wasted when BT are trying to rollout the service to everyone but BT databases are not accurate.
Is this not a political matter?
Is there any way this sort of info can be passed back to BT and some good come of it?
I understand that nobody can place an order with BT and request a cabinet (i suppose thats fair enough), nor make feedback regarding errors found by BT Openreach Engineers (ok maybe they should do that) nor bring to official attention that the database may be wrong?
I am hoping this Forum will solve all my problems
What is your PSTN Line number?
Hi howardrussell
if you can send me a private meessage, with the phone line number(s) and contact details I will have a look at the line and the account to see if anything can be done to get you FTTC broadband.
