I never normally post messages on these forums but I am today, out of desperation, and in the hope of getting some kind of response from BT. In a nutshell ESAVER, what a nightmare.
I have two esaver lines and I need call minder or voicemail added to them both. I discussed this with "Natasha" during an online chat before ordering them and was assured it would be no problem to have voicemail added.(I still have this printout)
I have filled in two online enquiry forms for call minder and each time I have received a generic message back asking for my telephone number and account numbers (even though I gave this already in the online enquiry form). I email them back with the required details and then hear nothing. This has been going on for two weeks now, and in between times I have emailed BT and had online chats numerous times, only to be told by the online people that I need to phone BT, and when I call I am told to go online, at one point I even had someone on the phone from BT at the same time as having someone online from BT and had to laugh as I told them both that each one was directing me to the other. On top of this I am told by the BT people on the phone that esaver is nothing to do with them, which is a joke seeing as how it is on their website and is in all ways a BT line with BT bills and BT email and a BT number!
Eventually I was given the 0330 number which I was told was specifically for esaver lines and when I called it and told the lady at the other end my problem, she said I need to call the esaver line, I said, I have, this is the number for esaver at which point she read out the number I should be calling to which I said "that is your number, the one I have just called" she said "oh, it must have been diverted to me"!
The whole way through this nightmare of hours on the phone and numerous emails the staff I have spoken to have been very apologetic and kind, but, due to no fault of their own, have been unable to help me.
What is interesting is that prior to my phone lines being connected I was inundated with emails from BT about all kinds of services and about my order, now that I have my phone lines, I cannot make contact with anyone who can help me for love nor money. So in the meantime, I am trying to get my small business off the ground and juggling all the pressures that life can bring and all I want for Christmas is callminder but to no avail!
Please don't tell me to fill in an online enquiry form as I have tried that.
Please don't tell me to dial the 0330 number (try it yourself) as that does not work.
Please don't tell me to have an online chat as that does nothing and they tell you to call BT business.
Please don't tell me to call BT Business as they tell you to go online.
And please don't tell me to try dialing 1571 to get voicemail as that doesn't work either.
Please just cancel my phone lines for me as I would like to take my business elsewhere

Hi juliasmillie,
Sorry for the confusion.
I have spoken with Fiona and she has confirmed that the 1571 is on your account now since the 10th January 2011.
She has also sent you a private mail.
Thanks

Hi Juliasmillie,
I am really sorry to read about the problems you have experienced trying to add call features to your ESaver accounts. Have you managed to get this resolved and the features added.
Kind Regards

I absolutely have not had this resolved.
I was told in an online chat BEFORE I was recommended and signed up to esaver, that voicemail was a free service and came as box standard and that there would be absolutely no problem getting either voicemail or call minder (which I do know is a payable service) added to these esaver lines. If I knew that I couldn't I would not have signed up to them.
This is simply untrue and I have feel I have been misled and missold this product. I have filled in two online enquiry forms, had several online chats and phoned dozens of different numbers and been redirected and in several cases cut off by call handlers and no one is able to help me.
I am at my wits end and would like to now cancel my service with BT so that I can get sorted with new phone lines, with services available to me so that I can get my business up and running. This is costing me dearly.
There appears to be a major glitch with ESAVER lines in that there is NO online service available to go with them. I perfectly understand that you cannot speak to anyone on the phone about esaver and I am more than happy to communicate by online chat or email, but there is simply no where on your website to be able to do this, and BT are misrepresenting ESAVER by saying that it is an online SERVICE. There is no SERVICE at all. I wrongly assumed I would be told how and where I could do this, but so far nothing.
Please, please, please help me to be rid of this service.
In desperation
Julia
Hello Fiona,
How do I private mail you? I can't see your email address or a link to email you.
Regards
Julia
Hi juliasmillie,
If you click on one of the Moderators names it will open the profile. Once the profile is open on the right hand side of the screen there is an option to send a private message.
Hope this helps.

What are you talking about, I did send you a lengthy private email in just the way you told me to?
Are you telling me you did not get it?
Julia
