How to drop the /epages/BT.... suffix in URL

nothingbuttoys

Hi all,

Anyone know how to get my website to display the core URL, without the epages suffix?

My website is http://www.nothingbuttoys.co.uk

When you go to this address, the url is shown as http://www.nothingbuttoys.co.uk/epages/BT3279.sf.

Frustrating...

Thanks!

Steve

You can't do this, as the epages/BT3279.sf is the path to the files that display your site and is required for it to work.

Most websites will display a huge URL as soon as you go past the first page of the site. This one just happens to do it on the first page as well, but it is nothing to worry about.

Actually frame forwarding the domain would achieve this, but I really wouldn't recommend this as secure transactions and pages will not show up with https in the address bar.

Hello,

as said before it is not possible to remove this right now, nevertheless it is not doing lots of harm either. Good news is, that the developers are working on the "short-URL" issue and it will be availible with one of the next software updates.
