We have BT Business Infinity Broadband FTTC with a BT Business Hub 3, we originally had just a single external static public IP address and using this we were able to connect a Panasonic KX-NT343 IP telephone to our US office where they are running a Panasonic KX-NCP500 telephone system. We have other devices that we needed further external public static IP addresses for. So we ordered and obtained a block of 5 static public IP address on the Infinity Broadband service. The change to supply the the 5 static addresses means that the WAN internet IP address is dynamic with BT mapping this to the block of 5 external addresses.
We have set up the Panasonic IP telephone to use one of the new external static public addresses from the block of 5. In the BT Business Hub 3 we have set up the same port forward range of UDP 12000 to 12255 and turned off the firewall completely (opened it to allow anything through) the Panasonic IP telephone will not connect. Now we know the public static address being used for the IP telephone can be seen from the US as we can ping this address from the US. Is there any other configuration on the BT Business Hub 3 that needs to be set up? Has anyone got any idea what may be being blocked?
Does the Static Route List need to be set up manually? I cannot find any instructions on how to do this or any examples?
This is ultra frustrating as the same infinity service with a single external static public IP worked! Does anyone know what may be blocked or stopping this connection now we have the block of 5 static addresses?
