Hi,
So I only have a phone line with BT (we also have broadband and the tv package). When people try and call us, it rings on their phone, but our home phone doesnt ring. Even if wepick up the phone whilst they are ringing it wont intercept the call. The number is exactly the same and if we call from the home number it will be the same number we tried to call.
The voicemail service is different to the bt one, it says "welcome to our voicemail service, the person your trying to call isnt around right now, please leave a message after the tone". We had an engineer come round and he confirmed that our inbound line has been transferred to a different provider so bt cannot fix it as it isnt their line?!
Someone at bt has obviously switched over our line somehow but I am still paying line rental and have no idea how to fix the problem! I try to call bt but i keep getting cut off or not getting call backs, its very stressful repeating the same problem to people who dont understand me and dont even want to help.
Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks
I suggest for you to contact BT right away regarding this matter so it can be fixed.
