I have created a db and a User which appear to be OK. I am using a program called Coppermine for a photography forum. The db has been created but when I test it I get this error msg back:
"Could not create a MySQL connection, please check the MySQL details entered
MySQL error: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)".
I left the MySQL host at the default setting of "localhost".
I am a newbie at this stuff but it appears as though it is a path problem - but I'm guessing. Any help would be appreciated.
