Have recently come on board with BT and although BT is now hosting my already in existence domain name, the broadband connection is still with with the old supplier under notice to cancel. My snag is that the company hosting my web site is a third party and requires that the CNAME record to their http address be changed. I have tried contacting BT via the email route 6 days ago - no reply - have spoken with help desk - don't know what they are doing - have tried changing in domain names centre but seem to be getting nowhere so my website is offline and I might be missing the big one!
