Problem uploading to site via Webplus X2

When I try to publish to the BT site using Webplus X2 I continually get the error message that username or password is incorrect. I have checked this and it is definitely OK. HELP. BT just do not want to know. I have also tried using Dreamweaver and get the same error message.

make you you have not accidentally enabled Frontpage extensions as this will disable FTP.

 

Log into to the Website Centre and go to Site Builders > Frontpage Extensions and if it says Frontpage appears to be installed, click the uninstall tab.

No, Front page extensions are turned off, but thanks anyway.

Hi There,

 

Please confirm that the username and password you are using with the Webplus X2 software package is the same as your FTP user name and password (which is their domain name and the Website Center password).   You can confirm this by attempting to ftp into your hosting account with either an FTP client or a browser.
