Yes u r correct, the company Authentium & BT joins together and give out the product called BT Internet Security Pack (BT ISecP).
There are two problems here
1. Keyboard issue ( missing characters )
2. ESP System Service Launcher issue
The first issue seems to be u have a faulty keyboard, there is no link with BT secuity software. Try with a different keyboard if u can. Or if u r keyboard is wireless, may sure there is enough battery
The second issue can be resolved if u repair the BT ISecP from add/remove programs. U mentioned that "...deleted the Authentium software not realising it was ..." what excatly did u removed from the PC.
If you reply me excatly what did u removed, may be I can guide you correctly.
