Re: BT Versatility - avoiding using '9' for external lines

Hi

This wouldn’t really be possible.

You could ‘hotline’ an extension to always dial a 9 when it is picked up but this would mean it could not make an internal call.  This can also not be done on extension 20.

The Versatility Featurephones have line keys along the bottom that can be used instead of a ‘9’.

If the phones you are using have memory keys where a number is stored you could store a 9 under one of these and use that key to emulate the line keys on the featurephones.

Unfortunately the Versatility does not do the same as the Lucent system, as soon as you dial a valid number it rings what you have dialled.  I.e if you pick up the phone and dial 0 it will ring group 11, if you dial 21 it will ring extension 21 immediately, if you dial 180 it will ring group 01 immediately.

Kind Regards

Fiona
