SSL for mail.domain.co.uk

I need a certificate for Exchange 2013 associated with mail.mydomainname.co.uk

BT help mentions "Launch BT website Manager for the domain against which the certificate is required" - so first question what's the URL to get here?

Next question - The purchase certificate process leads me to obtaining a certificate for www.mydomainname.co.uk.  Since Exchange 2013 hinges entirely on certificates - one wrong sneeze and it stops working completely, I'm sure it's going to matter that's it www and not mail on the certificate so how do I change it?

Finally, are there any simple instructions for the process of obtaining a certificate from BT and applying it to Exchange 2013?

Thanks

Just noticed this is only availble for the "Advanced web hosting package".  I'll find someone else.

Hi Baldrick69,

If you are using your own exchange server then you need to obtain the CSR request from that server.

https://www.digicert.com/csr-creation-microsoft-exchange-2013.htm

We can only generate CSR requests if the domain is going to be pointed to the BT Hosting service.

Once you obtain the CSR you need to log into http://myoffice.bt.com and click on "Manage your domains", from here click on "SSL" then enter your CSR and complete the purchase.

Sorry for any confusion.

As previously said you can still purchase an SSL certificate via the "manage your domains" section.

The Advanced hosting only relates to the ability to generate a CSR request to use with our own hosting services.

Anyone using their own webservers or mailservers need to generate the CSR request from that specific server.
