Putting our other migration problems to one side (BT support have never returned the pronised calls and it's 2 days now).....
We cannot send mail today. We could yesterday and nothing has changed (using outlook 2003) and setting are as per BT website. We now get this message on send (receiving works OK)
Task 'blue limes - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC7D) : 'Your outgoing (SMTP) server does not support SSL-secured connections. If SSL-secured connections have worked in the past, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'
Help!!!
I know this post is two weeks old but..
If you are using Outlook 2003 make sure you have the latest Service Pack installed (SP3). It should be able to send ok with SSL ticked and the port set to 587 but it isn't 'officially' supported by even Microsoft, it might be prone to intermittent issues. It would be worth upgrading to at least Office 2007 as that's the oldest version of Outlook that Microsoft is saying is guaranteed to work with Office 365.
