As a photography business, we frequently have to send emails to clients with attachments. To send from iMAC to PC, we had to buy software that handles the attachments in a way that allows PC users to view said files as attachments rather than in the body of the message, but some clients servers do not allow their users to receive zip folders as they are potential virus hazard which we understand. We can get round this with the additional software bought.
But one client in particular has a problem opening files we send without them being corrupted (lines across them etc or incomplete pictures). Also quite often when we send to this client, the email will bounce back with the message that the recipients inbox is full and the following:- < c2bthomr10.btconnect.com #5.2.2 SMTP; 552-5.7.0 Our system
detected an illegal attachment on your message.
I would like to know
a. If there is anything we can do to prevent the files being corrupted when they do arrive with the client
and b. What might be the best way for us to send these emails? These are regular everyday emails that have to be sent with attachments to estate agents.
Thank you
This could be possibly two things. Files could be corrupted from the senders mail server or the receiving ends server. I would isolate the issue first.
