Smart hosting MX check failed

I've just set up smart hosting for one of the domains I own. Unfortunately, it fails the MX record check.
I have checked at mxtoolbox.com and I have confirmed that the record is correct, but the BT checker just reports "check failed - please update your MX record"
Is there anything I can do?
Thank you
Simon

Hi,
Put a query in through http://www.dnsforms.co.uk
They'll be able to check the domain and make sure everything is in order. They are quite busy though, so bear with them.

Hi Simon,
I assume your domain is externally hosted?
Do you know if it is old or new platform?
If its old platform the MX record should be @ MX ibmr.btconnect.com preference 10.
If it is new platform there are two MX records which are emailed too you, one of these is @ MX msxxxx.something.invalid preference 50
The other is @ MX yourdomain-co-uk.eo.outlook.com preference 1
If these have definately been added correctly with the correct preference and are still failing contact the helpdesk on 0845 600 7020.
Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve,
Well spotted that man.
I must have been half asleep.
