We have hosted exchange and have found that some emails from btconnect customers are consistently not delivered to us. We have checked with the hosted exchange and our MX records and nothing was found anything untoward. Before moving to hosted exchange we used btconnect.com and alias accounts for our emails so when it was suggested i check the old mailbox (xxxx.xxx@btconnect.com) and all the missing emails were found there. We have not specified any forwarding rules to redirect emails from hosted exchange to btconnect.com. To add to the confusion BT is denying that it is using any internal lookup table to route emails between btconnect customers without refering to MX records.
Please could someone advise what i should do to stop this happening?
That is one of the problems you may encounter with BT unless you already know how to set it up. You can contact their technical team for assistance.
