After swapping to BT Broadband and being assured that any issues would be dealt with promptly, I am disappointed to find another company that cannot live up to its hype! After 4 years of hell with different broad band companies before signing up with BT we explained we have issues with dropping broadband. Not a town issues even though rural. Neighbors don't have the same problems. Being a little IT literate we had completely changed the internal wiring using master socket that was filtered, their is not a problem with wiring! the router has been changed twice and many times with other providers. then BT sent out an engineer who actually knew what he was doing, for years we had been asking for wiring from the telegraph in our garden to the house to be looked at. the gentleman scaled the heights and the wire broke off in his hand... Yahoo the problem was fixed! for three months perfect. Now we have the same issue again.. dropping signal completely ring BT cant find problem.. go through scripts unplug filter from box is good one.. we explain we have master filtered box.. the script doesn't cater for this so we have to argue for 10 minutes .. Router.. is the light on... oh yes.. how many users on the line.. one Ethernet PC has same problem.. not a wireless issue.. Logs state broadband goes down.. and trys to fix.. The latest.. dropped all evening.. rang BT he found fault was reporting it.. wait 24 - 48 hrs nothing changed rang back 2 days later.. no fault.. been refused back from engineers.. even though logs say there was, phone operator said there was.. their isn't.. line still slow and intermittent
so after trying to ring again today.. nothing.. Argument, no fault cant help you and the saga begins again.
BT FOR GOD SAKE, try using someone with a little intelligence on the end of a phone who can cope with something that isn't scripted!
