Static Ip and DHCP at the same time

Hello All

We have BT Business Hub 3 configured to the SBS 2011 server. How can i configure Static IP on the router and at the same time internal addresses (DHCP) on the server?

When i configure Internal private address  (i.e 192.168.10.X) in the server, the static ip configured in the router disables and the server(device) is not appearing in the business network list. Also it takes the WAN IP from

Advanced settings --> Broadband --> TCP/IP settings --> IP address. This IP is dynamic and hence cannot be used by clients for communicating.

Questions
1) How can i setup DHCP on the server with a fixed wan IP configure in the router?

or

2) Can we make the broadband ip fixed so that i can use it permanantly for client remote access?

We have purchased 5 static IP's

Please help!!

Thanks

Did you ever find a soloution for this? I am about to recieve this router as a replace for a Cisco Router. On the Cisco it was easy to do this. Maybe you need VLANs? Can the hub do this?

Well, if it's of any help, it is possible to use static IP addresses at the same time as DHCP on the BT Business Hub 3. For or the equiment using the static/fixed IP addresses, they can either be configured manually with their static/fixed IP address, etc or they can be configured to get their addresses from the BT hub's DHCP server and in the latter case, they should show up in the 'business network' page.

But if you configure the static/fixed addresses manually on the systems that are meant to have them , they may or may not show up in your business network even though they are there and up & running.
