I really need some help with this. We have been receiving calls from some very strange no.s. It rings and we pick it up then it does dead stating "busy" then the call comes through again half a second later. this repeats until we leave it to ring out.
The no.s are going up so first call was from 101, then from 102 them 103 then 110, it is now up to 800. As you can imagine this is causing my business a lot of hassle. I have spent about 6 hours on the phones with BT who have checked all my lines (1 Feature line, 2 VOIP lines and the broadband) all of which are fine. The BT Hub we have is also fine.
I have deduced it could be telemarketers but as it is from a very strange set of no.s I am unsure what to do. We can't block the no.s as they are changing each time they come through and there is no way to trace them. I have a BT salesman coming out next Thursday to look at replacing the system but I will have no hair left by then. Any help would be appreciated.
