I am having a problem downloading email form my private email server when at home using my BT broadband.
As soon as I return to work my laptop will download my email no problem. This hasn't been a big problem until I have decided to decamp my office to my home for a few weeks.
When it tries to download I get a pop up saying
The server returned the error: The connection to the server “mail.*****************.co.uk” on port 110 timed out.
I am also unable to access my own website which is on the same server.
I run Mail on Mac.
Any ideas what could be causing the problem.

The fact that you can get neither mail nor web points to some kind of routing issue. Have you tried the basics like restarting your router at home?
