Uploading Website to BT Webspace

I am a MAC user & have created a website on IWeb which needs to be published urgently. I purchased the domain bluefit.net from BT & want to upload to my free webspace. I am struggling with the setting fields in IWeb for FTP.

Am ok with username and password but have put http://home.btconnect.com/bluefit.net in the server address field and am not sure what to put in the directory/path field.

I have not uploaded anything & can't find a way to do this. Can anyone offer some help.

Thanks

It might be better if you use a standalone ftp client to upload your website as the proprietary, inbuilt ones that come with web creating tools are not always the most reliable. One such would be the free, open-source Filezilla- found here:

http://filezilla-project.org/download.php (for macs).

Also, the host field for the freespace would be:

ftphost.btconnect.com

The username will be: bluefit.net

The password will be whatever you set it to.

Thanks. Have decided to publish via MobileMe now. Seems simpler but 48 hours on it is yet to get up and running?

Hi

I need to point the BT Domain blue.net to my MobileMe published website. I need to change the appropriate fields for the CNAME on Advanced Domain Manager but don't know which one.

The “www” CNAME. The CNAME for your domain is “web.me.com”.

Can you help please?

Thanks

You will probably need to contact BT to have this done, as the www hostname tends to be locked in the domain management screen.
