Very Slow Access To Some Web Sites

Since upgrading to Infinity we're finding some web sites are very slow to load (especially eBay and PayPal).  Speed checker confirms our upload / download speeds are very good and most web sites are fine.

Is there a problem with some web sites being accessed by fibre as opposed to broadband?

There should not be any problems ...   In ADSL you are copper to te DSLAM in te exchange and from there probably fibre out to teh web ...   With VDSL copper to the cabinet, DSLAM equivalent there, then fibre to te exchange and fbre out to the web ...   No real difference.

I have occasionally found that there is a need to tweak PCs (and possibly routers) to get thinks running as they should - have a search for MTU and RWIN settings ...    Try www.dslreports.com/tweaks  it may show issues on your connection.   www.kitz.co.uk  has info on RWIN and MTU
