I have a business starter web host package at £5 pm. I have recently updated my website and was looking to add two or three basic php includes to make managing future changes on the site less time consuming. It doesn't seem to work when I try it on the BT server but is fine if I try it on a godaddy separate site I have. My current site with bt does have a couple of contact and feedback php scripts that work fine. Do I need phpmyadmin i.e. Upgrade to advanced hosting to get these couple of includes working? If so it seems a pity to have to pay an extra £10 pm when godaddy offer it as standard? Any help greatly appreciated as after numerous calls today to Bt I'm no further on!

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but in order to use PHP and/or SQL then you will need to pay extra with BT hosting.

Thanks for the response Sogo7, I thought that was the problem, just a pity the guy at BT didn't know that himself instead saying my script must be just wrong - even though I told him it worked on GoDaddy. Ah well looks like I'll just have to move my services then.

Wow the "business starter" email doesn't have php or mysql? That's standard!

It is important to make sure that a proper 24/7 support is offered for all typesof web hosting and PHP website requirements. If you have a unique requirement, discuss it with the web host before signing up for any hosting package.

Hi All,
Sorry to hear of these issues.
I can confirm PHP is supported on our starter hosting pack.
If you have any issues with scripts we can look into this on your behalf just use the general hosting enquiry form at www.dnsforms.co.uk.
Please include a link to the script you are using and inform us of any php plug ins that are required for this to work, we will then check with our hosting providers.
Please note that although PHP is supported some elements may be disabled for security reasons.
Kind Regards,
