Where's my website?

I have uploaded my website files to the ftp directory mydomain.co.uk/public/newfolder as the help page said I had to set up a new folder in which to place the files for the website I am hosting through my primary domain. All the files appear to be present, and I have checked the index file within the newfolder is all in lower case and no spaces. I have tried pointing my second domain name to the primary domain through the domains centre but the instructions are vague. Do I point to just the primary domian or do I point to the primary domain with /newfolder extension included. I have tried both but it seems to make no difference. When I clicked on the test button to test the link to my primary domain address nothing happened. So I pressed save and received an auto reply to my email within a few seconds setting out the changes to the zone settings.

Would appreciate some clarification on this process.

cheers, Al

You will need to point the second domain to the www.yourdomain.com/newfolder

Make sure going directly to this displays a site before trying to set up forwarding to it.

You may also see that in the advanced domain settings there is a greyed out A record pointing to 209.235.144.9. If this is there then this will prevent the domain forwarding from working and you will need to submit a request to BT to have it removed.

Hi Dave - you got it first time, the address is showing as grey under the advanced tab in the zone configuration.

When you say contact BT, any suggestion on who/how?

cheers
