Hi, I am wanting to setup a Wireless Router on the LAN in our Golf Clubhouse using a Maplin N300 Cable Router. I am aware that I need to disable DHCP and use the one of the ouput ports and not the WAN port. But I have had problems with assigning a Static IP Address for the AP. The Private Network DHCP Range from the BT Business Hub (2701 HGV-C) IS 192.168.1.64 to 192.168.1.253. Should I allocate a spare address within this range or can I use one from the range 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.62?
Do I need to set the address via PC connected to the AP as well as from the Hub.
Any help gratefully received.

Set the IP address within the 1 to 62 block. I would suggest using 30 upwards. If you put it is the 64 to 253 block there is a possibility that it could get taken by another device (in a certain set of circumstances).
When doing this sort of task it is better to do it using a wired connection - so in your case from the hub.

Thanks for your solution which I have now used and seems to be working fine. Sorry for delayed response. Peter
