Word Doc and MPEG movie do not display properly

beermatt

Hi, I have a site which I transferred to BT hosting from elsewhere.  There is a link to my CV but the word doc just displays as jibberish.  There is also a link on the editing page to my showreel which also displays as jibberish but used to play in a new window.  Could anyone help me with this?  The link is www.beermattonline.co.uk

Many thanks, Matt.

Hi Beermatt,

Please be informed that we were able to see the link CV properly. Please look at the screenshot below.
Also please be informed that the link CV is not a .doc file, it is .pdf file (you can also see it from the screenshot)

Works fine for me too. It sounds like your browser is trying to render the files rather than passing them to the correct application.

Hi, yes I changed it to a pdf because the word doc would not display.  The mpeg file did not play either so I changed it to a swf which seems to work.

Thanks again, Matt.
