Hi… can anyone help when I send a email using my alias email address using Outlook Web Access where you would have your name or company first I get xxxx@btconnect.com then mymail@mydomainname.co.uk how can I change the btconnect part and replace with my name….I have setup the personalise the default sent from email address....thanks ...Dave
Hi Dave,
Ok I just want to check if you've gone through the steps.
First off you need to create an alias, and then allocate the alias to your @btconnect.com email address. Finally you change the default 'From' address to the alias address.
All this is done through the website at http://myoffice.bt.com, and you're logged in as the primary @btconnect.com user.
So far so good?
Cheers.

but using Web Mail I get on headers my xxxx@btconnect then my alias email address I would like to change the btconnect to the company name as it is in outlook express....thanks Dave
any sort this out as i have the same problem.
Everything other than webmail is fine.
Webmail email appear to come from
<someone>@btconnect.com [<someone>@thealias.com]
We need to not show the btconnect.com part.

Hi there,
Thats a backend issue on the mail server, call technical on 0845 600 70 20 to report it. That functionality should work across webmail.
Thanks
Thanks,
eventually got though to email support, who agreed there is a problem (checked the headers and all settings) they have forwarded the problem to back office. I hope thats not another word for bin
Cheers
Simon
Nope, back office is ideal 🙂
Thanks Guru Spank
No problem...'member' doesn't sound so good does it, I think they should change that to 'Aspiring Yogi' to stay in context.
