eShop Incompatibility with IE8

Hi,

 

During the development of our eShop we have noticed an incompatibility the BT eShop has with Internet Explorer 8 with regards to images not showing.  Since testing our site with IE8 we have noticed a number of images (but not all) do not appear when browsing products.  However, these same images do appear when testing with Mozilla Firefox.

 

Please advise when this issue will be rectified.

Please check if the images in question are stored using the CMYK colour model. Most of the applications used (e.g. Adobe Photoshop) do have the CMYK colour model set as default. This colour model is used for print and cannot be displayed by the Internet Explorer. If your images are indeed stored with that colour model, re-open them in your graphics application and save them in the RGB colour model. The RGB colour model is used for (computer) displays and the images will display in every browser. Please contact our support desk if that doesn't solve the issue.
